A Gentleman’s Selection of Eyewear

A gentleman always pays attention to every detail. I wear glasses and have since I was nine years old.  As an adult, I’ve kept my frames simple and clean.  Something that complements my face, is functional, and can be worn with whatever I’m wearing.  Practical and timeless works for this gentleman.

However, until recently, I’ve struggled with what to do about the sun.  I need sunglasses when I drive but I can’t drive without my prescription lenses.  Truly, sunglasses would also be helpful when taking a walk on a warm sunny day.  But to clip on some plastic sun shades to my glasses? Yuck! Not for this gentleman.

Fortunately, my always stylish friend Mollie suggested I check out Warby Parker. And of course, I did.

This gentleman found incredible satisfaction by way of WP.  For starters, the price is quite reasonable.  Then, the glasses and sunwear are incredibly stylish.  And then … for each pair you buy, they donate a pair to a person in need.  So, you look great and can feel good while doing so!

The best part of the entire experience was the Home Try-on option.  I wondered about buying eyewear online.  How would it work?  I’m accustomed to going to the shop and looking in the mirror.  Bringing a trusted friend and getting feedback.  Well, WP does it even better.  I chose five frames I liked and they were quickly shipped to my home.  Then, I could try them out at work or with friends or just at the house.  I didn’t have to go anywhere or stand in line or feel like the whole shop was looking at me.

The process was fast, easy, and painless.  In fact, it was down right pleasant.

Here are a few of the options I tried out:

I chose a couple more, but these three were the ones from which I finally made a selection.  As warmer weather (and shining sun) approaches, I’ll be ready with the perfect pair of prescription sunwear thanks to Warby Parker.
